Our environment is inspirational. Lapland is truly one of Europe’s last great wilderness regions. We are based more than 200 km / 125 miles above the Arctic Circle in northwest Finland, operating in some of the most stunning and remote landscapes in the world.

Here, your team gets to step away from everyday routines and into a completely different environment. Snow-covered forests. Open fells. Frozen lakes. Polar Night. Silence. This is where the team building begins.

We set the scene from activities to accommodation and catering. Your days are filled with the ultimate Lapland adventure, at your pace.

You don’t need to be an experienced outdoor team. Our sports and activities are designed to be beginner-friendly, to introduce people to new skills while giving everyone the opportunity to challenge themselves at their own level. Some days you move together as one team. Other days you can choose your own challenge or simply enjoy some time in the Arctic outdoors.

Your Arctic Escapade could be based out of a traditional wilderness cabin with a wood-burning sauna, a lumberjack base, or a remote old fell resort – your winter wonderland home for a few days or up to a week.

Days are spent outside. Evenings are about slowing down. Sauna. Ice dips. Fireside conversations.
Local food. Northern Lights.

No unnecessary distractions. Just your team, the wilderness and the experience you’ve come here for.

For teams looking for an even bigger challenge, we can create a cabin-to-cabin winter expedition, travelling through the wilderness rather than staying in one location.

If you stay in remote, back-to-basics accommodation, we can finish your trip with a touch of luxury – a night in a luxury villa or glass igloo, followed by a final celebration, Lapland style.

Our team is 100% local from Finland, with most of us from Lapland. We know the wilderness areas, hidden spots and local suppliers personally, with experience spanning route and safety planning, wilderness guiding, cooking, complex logistics, Arctic photography and much more. Arctic Escapades was founded by Riitta Hänninen, an international Finn with a background in tourism management, an MBA and extensive experience creating tailor-made experiences and organising international endurance events.
